Waves provide inertia, propel people forward, remove obstacles and create and quickly respond to a dynamic environment. And leadership sustains life when tethered as a team on treacherous terrain at high altitude!
Rob is a lifelong student of leadership from great mentors and experiences in educational, business and non-profit pursuits. This passion began at Wharton where as a Leadership Fellow he developed curriculum for 800 students and organized and led expeditions, teaching and learning lessons of leadership climbing to 19,000 ft in Ecuador and Africa. Great leaders create the vision, commitment, teamwork and environment required for bold ventures to succeed.

As an operating executive Rob has led highly engaged teams from early stages to summits of billions in ARR and undisputed market leadership in virtual infrastructure, cloud management and data analytics. He is passionate about servant leadership, nurturing the next wave of leaders and designing high performance cultures that thrive with trust, diversity, and continuous learning and improvement.

Rob and Amanda's non-profit (ad)ventures and causes include stroke awareness and prevention, cystic fibrosis, affordable housing and playhouses, the Portola Valley Schools Foundation, youth mentoring, feeding less fortunate neighbors, and scouting.

In addition to serving in executive operating roles of growth software companies, Rob covers various leadership topics such as strategic planning, communication, organizational design, and team / talent development as an advisor. He is researching how to contribute more in this area.
